The fellow will have the opportunity to work closely with LACMA’s team and the 28 partners in the GREENART project to contribute to a groundbreaking project that is addressing pressing challenges in the conservation of cultural heritage. This role provides a unique chance to work in a highly collaborative role with a wide reach across the organization, touching on program areas as well as research and collection care. The project aims to support the study and sustainable conservation of artworks. The successful candidate will provide key scientific skills and expertise as part of LACMA’s contribution to the GREENART (GREen Endeavour in Art ResToration) project, which is funded by the European Commission for Horizon Europe funding. Reporting to the Head Scientist of the Conservation Center, the Greenberg-Steinhauser Post Doctoral Fellow is a three-year fellowship for a candidate who has recently completed their PhDs in STEM fields, including chemistry, physical science, geology, and materials science.
